One of the most colourful and fragrant sights in the Merano region and in all of Italy. The 80 or so garden landscapes and the State Museum of Tourism at Trauttmansdorff Castle can be reached from Kolping in a matter of minutes by bus or on foot via the Sissi Trail.

One of the longest high-altitude promenades in Europe.

The sun-kissed promenade runs along the slope of the Monte di Merano. Pine trees, Himalayan cedars, eucalyptus, bamboo species, prickly pear cacti and a variety of other plants line the edge of the path. At the beginning of the path is the Polveriera, from whose battlements the best viewing point in the spa town is hidden.

The path named after Empress Sissi connects Merano city centre with Trauttmansdorff Castle. Its route includes another ten stations that are associated with the Austrian Empress, such as the Kurpromenade, the Kurhaus or Elisabeth Park.
