Accessibility Statement

1. Introduction

Hotel Kolping Merano is committed to making its website and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, as well as the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
The legal basis in Italy includes, in particular, Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004 (commonly known as the "Stanca Law") and Legislative Decree No. 82/2022, which transposes the European Accessibility Act and becomes mandatory for large parts of the private sector from 28 June 2025.
This accessibility statement applies to the website: www.kolpingmeran.it

2. Accessibility Status

This website is partially accessible, as not all requirements are fully met.

3. Non-accessible Content

Despite our ongoing efforts, certain content on this website is currently not fully accessible. In particular, the following limitations exist:

  • Keyboard navigation: Some interactive elements such as teasers, sliders, filters, or pop-ups are currently not or only partially operable using a keyboard. Affected modules include, for example, Clickpoints, Teaser T11/T19, Quote T4, Tabs, and pop-ups in the Team mask module;
  • Forms: Certain form fields (e.g. in job forms or sales request forms) as well as checkboxes (e.g. for privacy policies or newsletter subscriptions) are not consistently accessible via keyboard navigation;
  • Filtering and selection functions: Some content elements such as magazine filters, Story T2 filters, accommodation selection fields, or trigger tabs currently pose accessibility barriers for keyboard or screen reader users;
  • Media and visual content: Older PDF and Office documents or embedded videos published before the deadlines set by Directive (EU) 2016/2102 may lack appropriate structure, alternative texts, captions, or audio descriptions;
  • Incomplete semantic markup: In some modules such as the list module, link and image title attributes are still missing;
  • Very low color contrast: A contrast that is too low between text and background makes readability difficult for certain users – especially those with visual impairments. According to WCAG, the contrast ratio should be at least 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text). When text is placed over images, a sufficiently contrasting background must also be defined. Certain effects such as transparency, filters, or gradients are not taken into account.

We are continuously working to identify and address these accessibility barriers.

4. Creation and Review of this Statement

This statement was created/modified on 27.05.2025.
Review methodology: Self-assessment (internal tests with various browsers and keyboard navigation) as well as partially automated tests using tools like WAVE or Lighthouse.
